Phase one of Farmington's first fully inclusive, accessible playground is now open to the public November's Native American Heritage Month. Farmington Museum invites you to celebrate at its native arts and crafts fair. And Heather McCoy Youth Theater will hold auditions for its Christmas production funded by a new nonprofit. Phase one of the Boundless Journey Adventure Park is now open to the public. The city of Farmington held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the park on Monday, November 3rd. Phase two construction is set to begin. Soon the construction will be fenced off, so phase one of the park will remain open. Boundless Journey Adventure Park is an adaptive community space where all ages and abilities can play, explore, and grow. Celebrate Native American Heritage Month with the Native Arts and crafts fair from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 8th at the Farmington Museum. Artists and vendors from across the Four Corners Region will sell jewelry, silversmith pieces, clothing, and local foods. The Fair is free to attend. Heather McCoy Youth Theater will hold auditions for the stage adaptation of Charles MS Schols Animated Holiday Classic, A Charlie Brown Christmas on Saturday and Monday November 8th and 10th. Auditions are open to youth ages eight to 18 performances will be December 11th through the 13th at the Farmington Civic Center. This is the second year the Heather Mcy Youth Theater will bring a Charlie Brown Christmas to the Farmington Civic Center stage. The production is funded by a Juniper Performing Arts Foundation initiative to support the Heather McCoy Youth Theater and Youth Performances in Farmington. The Juniper Performing Arts Foundation is a new nonprofit with a mission to expand access to performing arts opportunities in Northwest New Mexico. The Foundation's initiative will support Heather McCoy, youth theater production, expenses, training, and future performances.
