Three of San Juan County's own plan to row 3000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean this winter to raise money and awareness for first responder mental health. Lieutenant Jared Slindy, Captain Mark Fetzer, and retired Sergeant Mike Hoag plan to row from the Canary Islands to the Caribbean beginning December 12th. They join 42 other teams across the ocean as part of the Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Challenge 2022. The Rowing Challenge was funded by the community donations, enabling the trio team named Team Guardian to take on the challenge.
