Exceptional Community Hospital has opened its doors in Farmington, bringing a concierge-style approach to acute medical care. Since opening Feb. 18, the facility has seen 50 patients a day — a pace that has surpassed expectations at all nine of the company's operating locations. The hospital, which took more than four years of planning and three years of construction, offers emergency-level services including treatment for chest pain, breathing difficulties, cuts, and infections. The facility can admit patients for conditions such as pneumonia and minor abdominal infections, transferring more critical cases to larger facilities. Hospital leadership says the goal is fast, patient-centered care in a warm, community-focused environment. This story is sponsored by Graff Orthodontics and Arkins Juice Tavern.
When we opened this hospital, it immediately became one of our busiest locations. We're currently operating eight locations and planning on 12 more across the country. And this location is the Shining Star.

Well, the journey goes back. This, this was a thought process for us about four and a half years ago, looking at the market, and we broke ground about three years ago and opened up on the 18th of February. And it's been a great 60 days plus here seeing patients and taking care of the people in this town. So it's been overwhelming, honestly. Now we normally build a hospital and we have a ramp up period we call it, where we think it's going to sort of ramp up Slowly. We've opened the doors and we're seeing 50 patients a day, every day since we opened the doors. And the community's just taken so well to it.
So, exceptional Community Hospital is a small hospital. We want to be a part of the community. Our main goal is to take care of acute medical problems, which means things that go to the emergency room, you know, cuts, colds, coughs, trouble breathing, chest pain. We'll pretty much see anything that comes that would go to any hospital. We'll see. At our hospital, we do have the ability to admit patients. We admit patients that aren't too sick. If they're fairly sick, we'll transfer 'em to a, a more appropriate facility. But we put people in for pneumonia, for skin infections, for maybe nausea, vomiting, some minor infections of the abdominal cavity. We, we put a lot of people in for a lot of different reasons.
Patient throughput and patient safety. That's kind of our big things, including making sure that the patient has an overall round good patient experience, meaning that we get you guys in directly into a room as quick as possible and try and get you the most patient-centered care that I can get in a timely manner.
They love the experience they get, they love the warmth and the empathy, and it's really more of a concierge model and, and they've just fallen in love with it. And to see those numbers, we've never done that in any other hospital of the nine we're operating, it's been this good. It's been just tremendous outpouring by the folks in this town. So we're very, very happy. We're here to serve the people. That's why the people are here. And part of this partaking with us tonight. It's all about the people. For us. We came here to provide another avenue of medicine, another choice for these patients to have to get great care. San Juan gives great care. We're going to give great care and together we're going to take care of the people of this town and do amazing things.
All sorts of people have come to our door and seek to be treated. And we have a very good, unique group of doctors, very professional nurses, rad techs, pharmacists, and you know, we're very proud of this facility.
