Opportunities abound for Thanksgiving meals this year, from specials at Northern Edge Casino and Sunray Park and Casino, to the annual Thanksgiving luncheon from the Salvation Army Farm. The Salvation Army is hosting its annual Thanksgiving luncheon this Tuesday, November 23rd, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. If you weren't able to pick up your turkey box last week or you're unable to cook one, come eat with us. Sunray Park & Casino invites you to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal between 11:00 AM and 9:00 PM. The Thanksgiving special is $23.99. Pies are an extra $4 a slice. Northern Edge Casino is celebrating the holiday with its Thanksgiving Day dinner special, $34.99 for adults and $17.40 for kids. The meal includes an appetizer, entree, choice of three sides, and a dessert. Aztec Chamber of Commerce invites you to launch the holiday season with Small Business Saturday. Summer Lake Season Kick-Off

Lake Farmington has kicked off its summer season, offering opportunities for boating, paddleboarding, and kayaking from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily, with the beach opening on May 25th. New this year is an inflatable aqua park at the beach, set to open on Memorial Day weekend. Fort Lewis College will host the Four Corners Climate Summit on April 27th, featuring presentations by climate experts, including a keynote by environmentalist Terry Tempest Williams. Additionally, San Juan County is renewing efforts with Septic Safe San Juan County to educate residents about the dangers of unsecured septic tank lids, aiming to prevent accidents, especially among children, during the warmer months. Bringing Broadband Access to San Juan County

Four Corners Economic Development has hired a consultant to implement a $150,000 Just Transition Fund broadband grant, aiming to improve internet access in San Juan County. San Juan College offers paid internships for students through the Center for Student Careers and Employment, assisting them in gaining experience relevant to their degree programs. Free Narcan training sessions are available monthly to educate participants on recognizing and responding to opioid overdoses, with complimentary Narcan kits provided.
