The Farmington Public Library Book Sale returns with deals for book lovers, the San Juan County Fair and Carnival brings music vendors and shows to McGee Park and the San Juan College Native American Center. I am Sadie Smith. The Farmington Public Library Foundation will host its annual book sale from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, August 23rd. Books are $1 each. In all proceeds will benefit the Farmington Public Library Foundation for library upgrades and events like its summer reading program. The San Juan County fair and Carnival will open Monday, August 11th and run through Sunday, August 17th at McGee Park. The San Juan County parade begins at 6:00 PM on Friday, August 8th in downtown Farmington with the fairgrounds opening at 8:00 AM Monday, August 11th. The fair will include live music, livestock shows, exhibits, and vendors. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for children and seniors. Full weekend passes and ride tickets also are available. The second annual San Juan College Native American Center Navajo Song and Dance event will be 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, August 23rd at the Farmington Museum and Visitor Center. Organizers ask visitors to bring their own chairs. The event will feature performances, family, fun, food vendors, and arts and craft vendors. Those interested in being vendors may pick up an application at the Farmington Museum. Front desk applications are limited.
