The City of Farmington's Bonnie Dallas Senior Center has launched the High Desert Games, its annual Senior Olympics program, with opening ceremonies marking the start of a multi-month competition schedule running through May. The event series, organized through the city's Parks and Recreation Department, features activities including shuffleboard, cornhole, table tennis, pool, pickleball and more. Hi, I'm Martin Moulton. I am the adult programs manager here at the Bonnie Dallas Senior Center for the City of Farmington, and we're under the Parks and Recreation Department. The primary goal is just for them to have fun. It gives seniors an opportunity to socialize, get together with their friends, and participate in team sports or in individual sports. Just, you know, help them live a healthy lifestyle, maybe get in shape, train for different events, and just that feeling of accomplishment that we hope they gain by participating. We have a schedule, we have a newsletter that we put out monthly for the Bonnie Dally Senior Center. It's called the Spotlight. There's a schedule of events in there, or they can just call us here at the Bonnie Dial Senior Center at the Annex, 599-1380, and we certainly can tell them the list of events over the phone as well.
