Celebrate and support young filmmakers at the Film Four Corners Student Film Showcase. The second round of the Student Well-Being and Competency Survey from Farmington Municipal Schools has opened for responses. Responses will help FMS to better address student needs from education to social/emotional development. And San Juan Symphony has a summer line-up full of opportunities, from concerts to workshops and more. By Hannah Robertson. You're invited to a film screening of local high school media students, popcorn included. Join Film Four Corners for a night of movie magic at the Student Film Showcase. Farmington's Municipal Schools is asking parents, students, and staff to fill out the student wellbeing and competency survey for the spring semester to help the district better address student needs, and San Juan's Symphony Summer is chockfull of events for the whole family. You're invited to celebrate local high school media programs as they screen at the Student Film Showcase, presented by Film Four Corners. Tickets for $5 at the door and popcorn is included. There will also be a concession stand available with snacks for purchase. The event begins at 5:00 PM. Enjoy the show. The New Mexico Public Education Department is conducting a student wellbeing survey through Farmington Municipal Schools, which was first done last fall and is now open for a second round. The survey helps the district collect information to assist students in learning and grow with engaging and inclusive education. The survey is available on FMS's website and is open to all FMS families, students, staff, and teachers until May 15th. Mark your calendars for upcoming events with the San Juan Symphony. The Youth and Junior San Juan Symphony Orchestra Concert will be April 28th at the Community Concert Hall. In May, the Musician Maker's Scholarship Concert will take place at 1:00 PM at St. Mark's on May 5th, and then come join the spring social fundraiser and silent auction that evening from 4:00 to 7:00 at Public House 701. The San Juan Symphony Family Concert presents "Lemony Snicket: The Composer is Dead" May 19th at the Henderson Performance Hall, and don't forget to sign up for summer music camps. This year's camps will take place June 10th through 14th and include the Discovering Music Camp for all kids six through 11, Durango Chamber Music Academy Camp for string players, and the Fort Lewis Piano Academy.
